Isak Returns To Training After Newcastle Reject Liverpool Bids

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak returned to training just days after the club reportedly turned down a £120m+ add-ons bid from Liverpool.

Isak has informed Newcastle of his desire to explore a move to Liverpool, but Newcastle remain firm on keeping their star forward.

The Swedish international was left out of the Magpies’ pre-season Asia tour, fueling speculation of an imminent departure from St James’ Park.

Sky Sports reports that Isak arrived back from Spain and resumed training Monday, despite tensions surrounding his transfer stance.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe appeared frustrated, emphasizing players must “earn the right” to train and behave professionally, targeting Isak’s attitude.

Howe stated that Newcastle will not tolerate poor conduct regardless of external interest, underlining team discipline above individual ambition.

Liverpool Expected To Return With New Offer

Despite the rejection, Liverpool are expected to return with another bid, eyeing Isak as a long-term replacement after selling Luis Diaz.

The Reds are reportedly ready to offload Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa to fund a second approach before the transfer window closes.

Isak’s current contract runs until 2028, meaning Newcastle are in no rush to sell unless they secure a quality replacement, reports Shoot.

Liverpool remain confident personal terms won’t be an obstacle and believe a deal can be struck before the window shuts.
