Inter Milan forward, Lautaro Martinez is reportedly eyeing a return from injury against Barcelona in the second-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi final.
The Argentina international is a doubt for the clash after having to come off at halftime against Barcelona last Wednesday with a thigh muscle injury.
Last week, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi acknowledged that it would be “very difficult” to get Lautaro back in time because injuries of that nature typically take ten days to two weeks to heal.
However, the Inter camp is becoming more confident. According to Italian media as cited by the Daily Mail, Lautaro may return to the team for their afternoon training session on Monday after working out in the gym on Sunday.

In an intriguing Instagram post, Lautaro shared a picture of himself working out in the gym along with the emojis of an hourglass and a battery.
Team-mate Marcus Thuram used an alarm clock emoji as a remark on the picture.
Lautaro leads the Nerazzurri with 20 goals in Europe’s top club competition, including eight so far this season.
In all competitions this season, the 27-year-old has scored 21 goals and provided six assists for the club.
“Lautaro will do the impossible to be there,” Inzaghi´s assistant coach, Massimiliano Farris, said after Saturday´s win over Hellas Verona in Serie A.
