There has been no public update on the club’s negotiations with the in-form player, whose contract, like that of Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, expires in the summer.
If Salah left Liverpool, it has been anticipated that he will relocate to Saudi Arabia.
However, according to Sport, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, has extended an offer to Barcelona for his client’s services.
Salah was initially sent an offer by the La Liga squad around the end of 2024, just before the January transfer market opened, but no talks took place.
Although the Camp Nou team has no problem spending a lot of money on more experienced players but it is difficult to see how Salah would fit into Hansi Flick’s plans given that Lamine Yamal currently plays right wing.
Given Barcelona’s dire financial situation, it’s unclear how they would pay Salah the £15 million he currently receives annually, reports Football 365.
After Neymar returned to Santos in January, Salah received a rumored offer of €50 million annually from Al-Hilal, who want the Egyptian to take his place.
