Ian Wright Admits ‘Worry’ Over Presenter’s Collapse On Live TV

Ian Wright has reportedly announced that Laura Woods is ‘fine’ following her alarming collapse during ITV’s live broadcast of England’s friendly versus Ghana on Tuesday evening.

Woods abruptly slumped forward while hosting the ITV4 show from Southampton.

Woods was caught by Wright and Anita Asante before television cameras quickly turned away from the scene.

For a brief minute, the audio was still in real time, showing Wright inquiring about Woods’ well-being prior to an advertisement break.

Woods Sends Message On Social Media Following Her Collapse

Woods later took to Instagram to reassure concerned viewers about her condition. “Gosh that was a bit weird,” she posted.

“Sorry to worry everyone, I’m OK, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a virus, just need a bit of rest and rehydration.

“I’m really embarrassed that happened on TV, but a big thank you to my colleagues at ITV who have really looked after me tonight. And to Wrighty and Neets for catching me, and sorry again x.”

Now, Football London reported that Wright has provided another positive report on Woods’ health on the Stick to Football podcast.

Both Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville asked former England and Arsenal striker how the 38-year-old was doing before any football talk started.

“She’s fine, I got a message this morning,” he revealed. “It was worrying last night, but she’s fine.”

After then, Roy Keane lightened the mood with his quip: “Not the first woman to fall into your arms Ian?”

Wright responded: “I can’t do anything around this guy!” And Keane added: “You’ll get a knighthood for that or something! You’ll get an award or something!”
