Real Madrid and Brazil icon, Roberto Carlos reportedly had an emergency surgery after learning he had a heart condition.
The legendary former left-back had the operation back home after returning to Brazil following a busy month that included traveling to the United States for the 2026 World Cup draw.
Following the propagation of false rumours, Carlos provided an update on the severity of his illness after initially being admitted to the hospital due to a tiny blood clot in his leg.
After a full-body MRI revealed a cardiac condition, the 52-year-old had emergency surgery to install a tube. Due to problems, the normally 40-minute treatment took almost three hours, according to Diario AS.
