‘Honoured’ – Jeremy Jacquet’s First Words On Joining Liverpool

Liverpool is “one of the greatest football institutions,” according to Jeremy Jacquet, who also says he is “honoured” to be joining the team.

On Monday night, the Reds and French team Stade Rennais came to a deal for the 20-year-old’s transfer.

Prior to the 2026–2027 season, Jacquet will go to Merseyside, pending international clearance and a work visa. According to instagram.

He will spend the rest of the current season with the Ligue 1 team before signing a long-term deal to transfer to Anfield in the summer.

Rennes released a statement on his behalf, stating that he is honored to join Liverpool, one of the world’s most prestigious football clubs.

“It was important for me to end my time in red and black on a high note at my boyhood club, the club of my heart. “I’m looking forward to sharing some memorable experiences with my teammates and fans in the second half of the season.”

Jacquet has made 31 appearances in total for Rennes so far since making his debut in January 2024.
