After leading his club to another victory at Camp Nou, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is on track to match Pep Guardiola’s record.
Flick’s side has now won 14 consecutive home games in La Liga, equal Ernesto Valverde’s record during his stint with the Catalans.
Flick is now just one behind Guardiola’s record, which he can equal next time out in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano.
Flick discussed his team’s performance after the game, saying he was pleased but wanted to see more progress, Reported on X.
“There are many things going well, but there are certain issues on the pitch that aren’t ideal. It’s five goals for three points. But at first, we didn’t play with the conviction that I expected. We have a lot of games left, but we need to play faster. He told reporters, “We need to focus; Newcastle is a very good team.”
“As I already stated, there are many things I enjoyed, but we can better. But I’m pleased. It’s a critical week, and we have a big game on Wednesday, so we need to give it our all. Everyone is happy right now, however there are some areas where we can improve.”
