Erling Haaland has reportedly left Norway camp and returned to Manchester City midway through the international break.
Haaland, 25, continued his amazing performance thus far this season as he helped Norway to a resounding 5-0 victory over Israel on Saturday which subsequently ensured they get closer to earning a spot in the World Cup next year.
To wrap up the October break, the Scandinavian team, who haven’t made it to the World Cup since 1998, will play a friendly match against New Zealand on Tuesday.
However according to the Daily Mail, the Norwegian FA stated on Sunday that Haaland had departed Stale Solbakken’s team, therefore he will not be playing.

Haaland and three other players returned to their clubs to keep up their fitness, they indicated in a statement.
“Sebastian Sebulonsen is in the Norwegian national team squad, he and Sverre Nypan are participating in today’s training,’ the statement read.
“Players with particularly tight match schedules are returning home: Alexander Sorloth, Julian Ryerson, Erling Braut Haaland and Fredrik Bjorkan.
“Felix Horn Myhre is leaving the squad due to a sore ankle.”
Haaland, Ryerson (Borussia Dortmund), Sorloth (Atletico Madrid), and Bjorkan (Bodo/Glimt) all have had a demanding domestic and European schedule thus far this season because they all play for Champions League teams.
Haaland will benefit from a few more days of recovery as he gets ready for his next duties with Man City, who play Everton on Saturday before visiting Villarreal on Tuesday.
Over the next three weeks, they will play seven games across all competitions.
Haaland, meanwhile, reached 50 goals for his country in just his 46th cap after scoring a hat-trick against Israel.
With an amazing 12 goals in just six games, he is also the leading scorer in World Cup qualifying.
