Manchester City have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior next summer.
According to Football Insider, City are closely monitoring Vinicius’ situation after his recent fallout with Madrid boss Xabi Alonso.
The 25-year-old reacted angrily to being substituted during El Clásico, sparking speculation about a possible exit from the Bernabéu.

Vinicius later apologised for the outburst, but tensions between him and Alonso are said to remain unresolved behind the scenes.
City and Chelsea Ready to Pounce
Reports claim Madrid are preparing for “showdown talks” with Vinicius as they look to extend his contract beyond 2027.
However, if negotiations stall, Premier League giants City and Chelsea are expected to lead the chase for his signature.
Pep Guardiola sees Vinicius as a generational talent who could transform City’s attack and complement Erling Haaland perfectly.
But his arrival could spell the end for Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku, who both play in the same position, reports Team Talk.
Grealish, currently on loan at Everton, is unlikely to return to the Etihad, while Doku’s future would also be uncertain.
Vinicius’ signing would represent a major statement from City, as the Brazilian has already won two Champions Leagues.
He also finished second in the 2024 Ballon d’Or, confirming his status among football’s global elite.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid travel to Anfield tonight to face Liverpool, where Vinicius’ form will again come under close scrutiny.
