Alan Shearer has urged Newcastle United to address Alexander Isak’s predicament as soon as possible, stating that he understands the player’s position as he awaits a prospective move to Liverpool.
Isak has informed Newcastle that he wishes to investigate a possible transfer away from St James’ Park. The striker skipped the trip to the Far East due to a minor thigh injury and concerns about his future.
Liverpool had been making approaches on the Swede for weeks before submitting an official bid, said to be worth over £110 million, which was rejected outright by Magpies officials.Reported By chronicle News.
Isak is scheduled to return to training this week, but Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has told him that his attitude must be good enough to join in with the rest of the squad. Liverpool, meantime, is said to be keeping an eye on the situation to see if Isak seeks a transfer.

Newcastle legend Shearer believes that if the forward cannot be brought back into the fold, United must cash in quickly and use the money to strengthen Howe’s squad following a’mess’ of a summer transfer window.
“No, I’m not angry at all with him,” Shearer said on the Rest is Football Podcast. “I understand how football works, I know what happens in and around the game.
“I probably understand his mindset. Do I like it? Do I get it? Probably two separate things.
“But I know what football is about and how it works, and Liverpool has certainly shown interest in him or his agency.
