German Wonderkid Florian Wirtz Has Decided His Next Club

Florian Wirtz, a star for Bayer Leverkusen, is apparently solely interested in joining Bayern Munich, which is a transfer blow for Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The German international was also a target for the defending European champions, who had hailed Wirtz as a successor for departing Kevin De Bruyne.

He has informed Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso that he is only amenable to a transfer to the recently crowned German champions.

The date of the transfer is unknown, as Wirtz still has two years left on his Leverkusen contract.

In 43 appearances this season, the 22-year-old has 16 goals and 13 assists.

It comes after an incredibly successful season in which Wirtz played a key role in Leverkusen’s historic undefeated Bundesliga campaign, which also saw them win the DFB-Pokal.

Floran is one of Europe’s most promising prospects after making 29 appearances for Germany and scoring six goals, reports Daily mail.

Fernando Carro, the CEO of Leverkusen, told Radio Marca Wirtz last month that the player would fetch a cost of “at least €150million,” although he later acknowledged that this was an error.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the head of Bayern Munich, declared in February that Wirtz would be the team’s summer goal.
