The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek nine is one where the majority of popularly owned assets failed to deliver returns therefore leaving their owners to pray for returns from other assets.
Erling Haaland (£14.7m), Joao Pedro (£7.5m), Bukayo Saka (£10.0m), Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) and Antoine Semenyo (£8.1m) all recorded blanks in their respective fixtures this gameweek.
Following three consecutive GWs without any returns, Mohamed Salah (£14.3m) finally broke the ice as he netted a goal in Liverpool’s 3-2 loss to Brentford.
However, this has not stopped some of his owners from jumping ship as more than 140,000 managers have already transferred him out from their teams.

Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) is gradually building up momentum as he produced two attacking returns to claim 15 points in Manchester United’s 4-2 win against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Cameroon international has now recorded returns in each of his last three gameweeks after delivering just once in his first six matches in the United colours. With Nottingham Forest (A) and Tottenham Hotspur (A) up next for the Red Devils, Mbeumo is currently the most transferred-in player with almost 500,000 new owners.
Mbeumo’s teammate, Casemiro (£5.5m) also plundered 15 points following a goal and an assist which was by far his highest so far this campaign.
Arsenal ace, Eberechi Eze (£7.6m) proved the difference in his side’s 1-0 victory over his former club Crystal Palace. The goal was the England international’s first in the league which was enough for him to record double digit hauls for the first time since he joined the Gunners.
Tottenham defender, Micky van de Ven (£4.7m) was the player of week following an astounding 23 points in Spurs’ 3-0 win away at Everton.
The Dutch pacy centre-back scored a brace, recorded a cleansheet, met the threshold for defensive contributions and claimed the maximum bonus points.
