FPL GW37 Recap: Penultimate GW Of Season; iSoccer Winners

Just like that, the 2024-25 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season is already saying goodbye to us. With just one gameweek left, we are on course of bidding farewell to yet another FPL season.

However, this is not to say there isn’t much to fight for as prizes are still very much to be won before the end of this campaign.

Without any further ado, let’s dive into how the penultimate GW of the season went.

It was a week of differentials as all but two assets in the team of the week are each owned by less than 10 percent managers.

Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella produced a scintillating performance as he scored the Blues’ solitary goal and kept a cleansheet in their 1-0 win over Manchester United.

The Spaniard claimed 15 points which was enough for a joint player of the week award.

The two top-scoring players so far in Gameweek 37 are both DEFENDERS!

Ezri Konsa is the other player, who tied with Cucurella in this gameweek’s standings as he repeated the former Brighton and Hove Albion defender’s feat in Aston Villa’s 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur.

Wolves star, Jorgen Strand Larsen recorded 11 points following a goal and an assist in his side’s 4-2 loss to FA Cup winners, Crystal Palace.

The Norwegian has now produced two attacking returns in a match for the third time this season. And with a top 10 overall ranking among forwards, the 25-year-old has had a very good debut season.

Manchester City ace, Omar Marmoush ensured to punish those who were not patient enough with him as he scored a goal and was rewarded with two bonus points to register 8 points in City’s 3-1 win against Bournemouth.

The Egyptian was the most sold asset over the last four Gameweeks.

Following his 16 points haul against Tottenham last gameweek, Eberechi Eze started the Eagles’ 4-2 win against Wolves on the bench.

However, it took the England international just 5 minutes after coming on to register his name among the goals and claimed 6 points in the process.
