The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 36 was one where managers who had their bench boost chip available saw this week as the perfect opportunity to activate it.
Fortunately for several of them, it proved to be a wise decision as this particular chip came to their rescue as differential assets recorded returns which ensured they leapfrogged their mini-league rivals as well as winning weekly prizes as the 2024-25 FPL season is gradually coming to an end.
Little wonder, four out of the five iSoccer FPL mini-league gameweek 36 winners activated their bench boost chip which ultimately took them to the top.
For the first time in a while, owners of Southampton’s defensive assets will be very proud of owning them following their resilience in ensuring Manchester City had no way through as they held Pep Guardiola’s side to a stalemate.

The result meant Aaron Ramsdale (£4.4m) recorded a double-digit haul following a string of saves to deny the gameweek’s most transferred-in asset, Kevin De Bruyne (£9.6m) and his teammates.
Recall that the England international also recorded a remarkable 16-point haul against Aston Villa in GW32 following his two penalty saves despite conceding three goals in the match.
Three defenders, Dan Burn (£4.4m), Daniel Munoz (£5.2m) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.4m) assisted and got clean sheets to claim 11, 11 and 12 points respectively.
Brentford ace, Kevin Schade (£5.2m) scored the solitary goal as the Bees struggled to hit their stride against a relegated Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
The 23-year-old German now has four attacking returns in three games. With an ownership of just 2.7 percent, he is a big differential to consider as there are just two gameweeks left for the season.
Crystal Palace winger, Eberechi Eze (£6.9m) put Tottenham Hotspur to the sword following his brace in the Eagles’ 2-0 win to collect 16 points which was enough to win the player of the week.
The England international has also made it four attacking returns in three matches.

Following a goal and an assist to plunder 13 points, Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.4m) stole the show despite the presence of Chris Wood (£7.1m) and Anthony Elanga (£5.5m) in Nottingham Forest’s 2-2 draw against Leicester City.
The midfielder subsequently ended a run of six games without a goal or an assist.
