The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gameweek seems to be one filled with excitement for millions of managers as things came back ticking following the last GW which was somewhat drab.
Erling Haaland (£15.0m) got back to scoring ways as he netted a brace to collect 13 points in Manchester City’s 3-0 win against Crystal Palace after he recorded a blank against Sunderland.
The Norwegian’s teammate, Phil Foden (£8.8m) keeps delighting his ever increasing owners as he yet again recorded an attacking return to plunder 11 points in the game against the Eagles.
The England international, for the first time in FPL, produced four double-digit hauls in a row with a total of 55 points, which is by far the highest among all assets within that time.
Bukayo Saka (£10.3m) didn’t do badly for managers, who were audacious enough to hand him the armband ahead of Haaland. With Arsenal playing a struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers side, it is understandable why they had to opt for the Gunners star boy.
He didn’t disappoint as he claimed 11 points following two assists and the maximum bonus points as Mikel Arteta’s side survived a scare with a late goal to continue their lead at the top of the standings.
Following his ‘throw under the bus’ comments which made him miss out on Liverpool’s victory away at Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, Mohamed Salah (£14.0m) returned to the team in their 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Egyptian was introduced just half way through the first half and he set up the Reds’ second goal which was scored by Hugo Ekitike (£8.6m), who netted a brace in that victory.
The France international collected 13 points in the process which was the same total he claimed in the Reds’ 3-3 draw against Leeds United.
Nottingham Forest ace, Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.7m) is the gameweek’s highest pointer with 19 points following a brace, an assist, a cleansheet and the maximum bonus points in the Tricky Trees 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Bruno Fernandes (£9.3m) plundered yet another double-figure haul as Manchester United played out an entertaining 4-4 draw against Bournemouth.
The Portuguese Magnifico scored a goal and provided an assist which were rewarded with three bonus points to take his tally for the week to 13. He has now claimed three double-digit hauls in the last four matches.
