Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has responded to renewed speculation linking him with the Real Madrid managerial vacancy.
The German coach, now head of football at the Red Bull Group, has been a top target since Xabi Alonso’s exit.
Klopp was asked whether he would return to management, but he appeared relaxed and uninterested in rushing back.
He laughed at the rumours, suggesting he is not actively seeking a new job despite Madrid interest, reports Liverpool Echo.
Real Madrid recently appointed Alvaro Arbeloa as caretaker after sacking Alonso following a Super Cup defeat to Barcelona.
The club’s search for a permanent coach continues, with Klopp repeatedly mentioned as a leading candidate.
Klopp insists he is at peace with Red Bull role
“I know I can coach a football team, but that doesn’t mean I have to do it until my last day,” he said.
“I wanted to do something different. Red Bull gave me an opportunity to find a role together, step by step.”
Klopp added he feels “completely at peace” in his current position and doesn’t want to be anywhere else.

He said he has learned a lot from business meetings and gained valuable experience over the past year.
“It’s been a good time,” Klopp concluded, suggesting he is enjoying the break from full-time coaching.
Despite speculation, he hinted that a return to management may not happen for some time.
