Hansi Flick said his goodbyes to Montjuic in the season’s final home game, a 2-3 loss to Villarreal.
Flick finished a memorable season at the Estadi Olimpic with three major titles: La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Copa del Rey.
The festivities that followed at Montjuic were passionate, packed with cheers, shouts and a strong message of solidarity between the team and the fans. Flick let the players enjoy the limelight.
He joined them in the center of the pitch, making a tight circle that symbolized the squad’s unity. Speaking to DAZN, the German coach stated, “They’ve done an incredible job and they deserve this celebration.”
This season’s highlight was the close camaraderie between supporters and players. “Throughout the season, I’ve felt the connection,” says Flick.
“The way we played, the matches we won, the style and the spirit—everything built a special relationship with our supporters.”

Flick isn’t resting on his laurels, either. “I feel like next year we have to work harder and harder to win more titles,” he told me. “I want more titles. Our mission is to improve and evolve. “I am very happy here.”
When asked about exceptional performers, Flick focused on the entire team. “It’s difficult to choose just one or two. He acknowledged the contributions of several individuals, including Lamine, Pedri, De Jong, Iñigo, Raphinha, and Cubars.
The coach lauded their mentality and leadership, pointing out the team’s tight friendships.
