Ex-Premier League Manager Desires To Replace Amorim For Nothing

Neil Warnock, a former Premier League manager, has boldly put himself up to succeed struggling Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese head coach is under a lot of tension following United’s devastating 3-1 loss at Brentford on Saturday.

Although it is known that Amorim now has the backing of United’s management, rumors about his future are persistent.

Since taking over, the former Sporting CP boss has only managed to accumulate 34 of the possible 99 points in the Premier League.

After United’s humiliating Carabao Cup loss to Grimsby Town last month, the club’s power brokers openly supported their boss.

Warnock, the former Premier League manager of Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers, couldn’t help but comment on Amorim’s predicament, especially his strange touchline theatrics during the Grimsby humiliation.

Warnock Jokingly Offered To Take Man United Job For Free

“Have you ever laughed as much in your life when he had the Subbuteo table on his lap,” he told talkSPORT as quoted by The Mirror. “I’m looking at that and thinking ‘I cannot believe what he’s just done in front of the cameras’ I’ve seen it all’.”

The 76-year-old then playfully pitched himself as the answer to United’s woes. “I’m available if they’re struggling,” he joked. “I won’t charge you, I’ll do it for nothing. Put my name in the hat.”

On Saturday afternoon (3 p.m. UK time), United will play Sunderland at Old Trafford. The visitors are presently in fifth place in the Premier League. Amorim will speak to the media on Friday before the game this weekend

The 40-year-old has already brushed off any worries about his job security.

“I am never concerned about my job,” he stated following United’s defeat at Brentford. “I am not that kind of guy.”
