Ex-Barcelona Forward Opens Door To January Move With Dream Admission

Vitor Roque has stated that returning to a prestigious European club is a “dream” of his despite his inability to settle at Barcelona.

After his deal to Barca didn’t work out, Roque returned to Brazil, but Premier League giants like Manchester United are now paying keen attention on him.

The 20-year-old striker moved to Spain in January 2024 and made his debut that winter after joining from Athletico Paranaense in the summer of 2023.

However, he found it difficult to establish himself under manager Xavi Hernandez, and his fortunes did not improve under Hansi Flick, who sent him on loan to Real Betis for the 2024–2025 season.

He decided to return to Brazil in February with Palmeiras, who paid a record £22 million.

Since then, he has found his form again, scoring 16 goals and dishing out three assists in 30 league games to win a recall to the national team.

Man United, Chelsea And Tottenham Interested In Roque

However, there are rumors that United, Chelsea, and Tottenham are keeping an eye on him, so he might not be in his home nation for very long.

His agent stated earlier this month that he was preparing for offers in the January transfer window of about €50 million (£44 million). Even though Roque is having a great time in Palmeiras, it appears that he wants to go back to Europe.

According to The Mirror, when asked about his dream move, he said: “It’s a dream to return to Europe, to adapt.

“God willing, I’ll continue doing my job at Palmeiras, because that’s my goal today, and in the future I’ll return to Europe.”
