Everton is planning to close part of the upper tiers of Goodison Park in order to limit the stadium’s capacity once the women’s team moves in.
On Sunday, Everton will play Southampton in the stadium’s final Premier League match before it moves to a new venue with a 53,000-seat capacity at Bramley-Moore Dock.

According to Everton, plans to demolish Goodison Park have been shelved, and the space will now be utilized for their women’s team starting in the upcoming season.
With a current capacity of 39,572, Everton is eager to make Goodison more intimate. The women’s team’s average attendance at their present home in Walton Hall Park has been 2,062.
The club will now reorganize Goodison Park, covering the upper tier of the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End, the Upper Bullens Road Stand, and the top balcony of the Main Stand with Everton’s women’s team branding instead of using them.
After the last men’s game, the club also gave season ticket holders and seasonal hospitality members the chance to purchase the seat they had occupied during the 2024–25 season as a keepsake of Goodison Park.
That plan will proceed, and the club will replace any seats purchased in locations that will be used by women’s matchgoers, reports BBC.
