EPL Star Has Bone Popped Back Into Place Following Gruesome Injury

Fulham defender Joachim Andersen sustained a horrific injury during the Cottagers’ Premier League match with Nottingham Forest.

The Denmark international clashed with Reds forward Igor Jesus during a top-flight encounter at Craven Cottage.

He was left with an awful injury to his left hand, with one of his fingers having to be popped back into place.

Andersen was positioned at the center of Fulham’s defence against Forest, while Calvin Bassey, his regular centre-half partner, was abroad with Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations. In a 1-0 victory, he managed to maintain a clean sheet.

Andersen Suffered Horrific Injury

According to Goal, the 29-year-old endured pain while playing for 90 minutes. There were fewer than 24 minutes remaining when he was left whimpering and in need of medical assistance. He was struck in the hand during a brawl with Brazilian attacker Jesus.

Andersen’s left ring finger was bent out of alignment, as seen by television cameras. Jesus apologized as he stood over the Fulham player while he received medical attention, causing a west London match to be delayed for a few minutes.

After his damaged digit was straightened and strapped, Andersen was allowed to proceed. He didn’t waste any time putting his body in danger; he was just off the field for a few seconds.

According to a Sky Sports pundit, after realizing what he had done, Andersen was unable to look at his hand.

Rob Green, a former goalkeeper for Chelsea and England, was on co-commentary duty and could relate to the Fulham star’s suffering because he had sustained numerous hand injuries over the years.
