Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has reportedly claimed he is yet to have any contact with Bayern Munich over a potential transfer deal for Jamie Gittens.
Since the 20-year-old winger has fallen out of favor with BVB head coach Niko Kovac in the second half of last season, there has been a lot of rumours this summer regarding Gittens’ future.
Gittens reportedly became more and more irritated with his role at the close of the season, and Chelsea were made aware of the situation before contacting Dortmund and the player.
According to several rumors earlier this month, Gittens’ camp and the Blues had reached a personal agreement, and the youngster is said to be keen to get back to playing English football as soon as possible.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have made two unsuccessful attempts to entice Gittens to leave the Westfalenstadion. Dortmund are believed to be hoping to get around €60 million (£51 million) for the attacker.
Bayern’s intense interest has presented Chelsea with yet another obstacle in their quest for Gittens. The Bundesliga champions are forced to think of alternatives to Nico Williams, who appears to be headed to Barcelona.
But according to The Metro, Dortmund manager Kehl stated that there hasn’t been any communication between the two German rivals as of yet.
“I’m not currently in contact with Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl,” Kehl said when asked about the rumours during Dortmund’s Club World Cup training session in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“But otherwise we have a very good relationship.
“Nevertheless, there’s nothing to say on the subject at the moment.”
