Manchester United and Lecce are anticipated to finalize a deal for Danish left-back Patrick Dorgu today.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio as cited by Caught Offside, the midfielder will then take a plane to Manchester tomorrow to finalize his transfer to Old Trafford.
Dorgu has excelled while playing in Serie A, so it’s no surprise that he is ready to advance to the next phase of his career.
The gifted 20-year-old appears to have a bright career ahead of him. His attributes also suggest that he would fit in well with Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 wing-back formation.

Dorgu has the energy to run up and down the pitch, and the ability in the final third to make a difference as an attacking outlet. It will be intriguing to see if he provides Amorim the improvement he desperately requires from Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Although Dorgu appears to be a fantastic addition to this United team and a strong beginning for Amorim in the transfer market, the Old Trafford club undoubtedly need more.
To truly offer the Portuguese tactician what he wants, Amorim will need to make a lot of fresh additions to his struggling team, which is still sunk in the bottom part of the table.
This current United team now have far too many passengers due to a string of poor acquisitions made by Erik ten Hag, Amorim’s predecessor.
Although Antony recently left to go on loan to Real Betis, the Red Devils could undoubtedly move out other players like Alejandro Garnacho, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Marcus Rashford.
