Diogo Dalot Breaks Down Manchester United’s Difficulties In An Honest Interview ‘It Should Not Be Like This’

Diogo Dalot believes Manchester United grew “anxious” after making a breakthrough against West Ham, and has highlighted that the team cannot afford to lose points at Old Trafford. United appeared to be in for a miserable evening as they struggled to find the net, but Dalot’s goal just before the hour mark gave them the lead.

The goal appeared to give Ruben Amorim back-to-back Premier League victories after Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace, but United switched off, and Soungoutou Magassa earned his team a late point. The draw meant United missed out on another chance to move into what will most likely be a Champions League position.

Dalot could not hide his annoyance when speaking with Sky Sports after the game, lamenting the team’s failure to continue playing after scoring the game’s first goal.

“Disappointed “We need to have much more control over the game, especially at Old Trafford,” he added. “We cannot become as worried as we did after the goal. We were perhaps more careless with ball possession, so the draw was understandably disappointing. “We had the game there.”

When asked why he believes United is struggling to establish consistency this season, Dalot replied: “It’s exactly the solution we need to find. It could be several things. It shouldn’t be like this because we’re fighting for 60 minutes to score a goal; when that happens, you should keep doing the same things: greater control, longer possession so we can have more dominance, especially when we lose the ball so we can recover it quickly.

“Especially the goal, the play that leads to the corner that we concede, that’s what we need to prevent, especially against teams that are good on the counter.
