Deco Hints At Reason Rashford Failed At Man United

Barcelona sporting director, Deco has implied that Marcus Rashford’s difficulties at Manchester United in recent years were brought on by the pressure put on him.

Rashford has made a quick impression since joining Barca in the summer on a season-long loan. The 27-year-old has created a goal in each of his last four La Liga games and scored his first two goals in the Champions League victory over Newcastle.

Rashford spent the second part of the previous season with Aston Villa after losing his spot in Ruben Amorim’s side halfway through.

Barcelona reportedly have the option to make the move permanent for £26.2 million, although Deco has downplayed this.

According to reports from last week, neither Barcelona nor United will talk about a permanent move until the completion of the current campaign. The Spanish powerhouses are reportedly happy with his performances and manner since joining the team.

The former Barcelona midfielder was recently interviewed about a possible penalty fee in the event that Rashford is not signed on a permanent basis by the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

What Did Deco Say About Barcelona Signing Rashford Permanently?

“He’s on a simple loan, there’s no penalty, and if we want him, we have an option to buy,” he said.

“It’s too early to talk about decisions for next season, but what matters is that we’re happy with him. What we thought he could bring to us, he’s bringing.
