Chelsea Winger Frustrated And Ready to Leave The Club

Chelsea youngster Tyrique George is edging towards a January exit, with sources confirming the frustrated winger is keen on a permanent move after struggling for minutes under Enzo Maresca.

The 19-year-old broke through last season, making 26 appearances, but has slipped down the pecking order this term.

George has started just twice across cup competitions and has only 143 Premier League minutes, leaving him disappointed with his situation.

New arrivals Estevao, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho have pushed him further down the wings hierarchy, while Pedro Neto has become a standout option.

Chelsea are open to letting him join sister club Strasbourg in January, with BlueCo seeing it as an ideal development path. Any deal would likely include future clauses to protect Chelsea’s long-term interests.

Leeds, Everton and Fulham Among January Options

However, Premier League clubs are circling. Fulham, who nearly signed George in the summer, remain interested and are monitoring developments closely.

Both Leeds United and Everton have also been linked, though Everton’s focus in January appears to be in other positions, reports Team Talk.

Leeds are actively seeking more creativity and want a player who can operate on the right or as a No.10. George prefers the left wing, which may complicate their interest with Daniel Farke already well stocked in that area.

Southampton are another contender, with the Saints prepared to invest in January as they push for promotion. They see George as a potential impact signing if he is willing to drop to the Championship.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to monitor other targets as they prepare for a busy winter window.
