Chelsea are reportedly waiting on how Liverpool’s deal for Alexander Isak pans out before making a decision regarding Nicolas Jackson, who is a target for Newcastle United.
After slipping down the ranks, Jackson has been told he is free to depart Stamford Bridge. The Senegal forward was judged surplus to requirements due to the summer arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are the front-runners to sign Jackson, who scored 13 goals across all competitions last season.
In order to have him at the Allianz Arena for the season, they are prepared to take him on loan and will cover all of his salary.

Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl said on Wednesday night: “If we can find a player who is physically ready, who scores goals, has assists, and who already has experience, we would be happy to loan that player” – before adding that Jackson fits that criteria.
Chelsea Playing The Waiting Game
According to The Mirror, Chelsea have been closely watching Isak situation because they know that Newcastle could make an even greater effort to get a striker if he is sold late, most likely to Liverpool.
The west Londoners are delaying their approval of Jackson’s loan to Bayern because they think a more profitable and possibly long-term deal may be reached with the Magpies if they desperately try to bolster their frontline before the transfer deadline.
Chelsea want more than £60 million if they decide to sell Jackson.
