Chelsea, Tottenham Interested In Signing Player Available For Transfer

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among several clubs interested in signing Bayern Munich defender, Kim-Min-jae this summer.

According to Caught Offiside, the two English outfits are keeping an eye on the South Korea international, raising significant questions about his future at the Allianz Arena.

Though, the report stated that Kim had not yet reached a firm agreement with any club.

“This seems like interest that is still very much at an early stage,” Falk said, even if we do end up seeing Kim move to the Premier League.

It would be fascinating to see if Kim becomes a major target because both Chelsea and Tottenham could need some defensive reinforcements this summer.

He appears to be only one of several players the Blues are currently considering, but given his availability, it would be worthwhile to look into him further in the future.

Kim excelled while playing for his former team, Napoli, but for some reason, he hasn’t been as successful at Bayern.

Though some Chelsea and Spurs supporters may justifiably see it as a risky deal, it makes sense that the 28-year-old might potentially be leaving Bayern.

However, given the difficulties of youngsters like Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi, as well as Wesley Fofana’s multiple injury issues throughout his time at Stamford Bridge, the Blues might use additional defensive experience.

A player like Kim, who has won significant titles at top European clubs, may be a good addition to Tottenham’s squad, which is also relatively young.
