Chelsea Submits Bid To Sign “Exceptional” Tottenham Player

Chelsea has now made an offer for a “exceptional” Tottenham Hotspur player who wishes to remain in the Premier League.

Caicedo performs despite Brentford’s slip-up.

If the Blues are serious about winning the Premier League this season, they must be able to finish off games against opponents like Brentford, which is why it is frustrating that they did not get all three points on Saturday.

Fabio Carvalho’s late goal meant Enzo Maresca’s side had to settle for a draw on the road, missing out on the chance to top the Premier League standings at this early point of the season.

As a result, it is unclear whether Chelsea needs to sign another defensive midfielder, but Africa Foot reports that they have made an approach for Tottenham Hotspur player Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma recently had a knee injury, so he will have to wait until January to leave the Blues’ bitter rivals, despite extensive interest in his signing, with Newcastle United, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace all making bids. Reported By Footballcast.

Tottenham are willing to permit a departure, given that the Malian midfielder is said to have had a falling out with Thomas Frank, which suggests a January departure, but they would like to sell him to a foreign team.

The 29-year-old, on the other hand, has made it known that he prefers to stay in the Premier League rather than join clubs such as Chicago Fire, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Lyon.

“Exceptional” Bissouma would be an unusual signing for Chelsea.

In reality, it would be unusual for the Blues to make a formal move for the Tottenham midfielder, not least since Maresca is already well-stocked in the engine room, with Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Andrey Santos available to the manager.

Furthermore, there are concerns about the Mali international’s discipline, with Frank leaving him out of the Super Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain, stating: “Bissouma isn’t here due to disciplinary reasons. He’s been late numerous times, the most recent of which was excessive.”

That’s not to suggest the Spurs star isn’t a talented player on his day; Gary Lineker famously described him as “exceptional” following an impressive performance against Everton.

However, given Caicedo and Fernandez’s development as vital players, who have both started all four Premier League games to date, there is little reason for Chelsea to spend £14 million on a player who is expected to earn minimal playing time.
