Chelsea attacker, Tyrique George appeared to snub the United States of America president, Donald Trump handshake during the FIFA Club World Cup trophy presentation following the Blues win over Paris Saint-Germain.
Following Chelsea’s surprising 3-0 victory over PSG at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Trump was put to work by FIFA president Gianni Infantino. He presented medals to the winning team before assuming the spotlight for the trophy lift.
George Appears To Avoid A Handshake From Trump
According to the Daily Mail, the 79-year-old’s presence was mostly unnoticed throughout this stage of the ceremony. That is, until George, who has had a breakout season with the Blues, avoided shaking hands with Trump.
The 19-year-old chose to accept Blues co-owner Todd Boehly’s congratulations rather than wait for Trump, who was busy with the exhausting task of receiving another medal.

Trump took note of the omission, whether deliberate or not, and glanced at the youngster before going back to his temporary responsibilities.
The Republican, who never backs down from a photo opportunity, later joined Chelsea in celebrating by choosing to stay with the Blues players as captain Reece James raised the Club World Cup trophy.
As is usual, it was expected that the Commander-in-Chief would take a step back after presenting James the trophy. However, Trump stayed on stage for the entire trophy lift, which many Chelsea players found confusing.
Cole Palmer seemed particularly perplexed by Trump’s behavior and seemed to ask, “What is he doing?”
Earlier, the 23-year-old midfielder, looked equally confused when Trump presented him with the Golden Ball award.
