Chelsea Seal Pre-Agreement For Strasbourg Striker

Chelsea have confirmed a pre-agreement with Strasbourg for the signing of Dutch forward Emanuel Emegha, with the striker set to officially join the Blues in 2026.

The 22-year-old scored 14 goals last season in Ligue 1, helping Strasbourg secure European football under Liam Rosenior.

His form attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Newcastle, but Chelsea have won the race.

Emegha began his career at Sparta Rotterdam before brief spells with Royal Antwerp and Sturm Graz, eventually making his breakthrough in France with Strasbourg.

Long-Term Deal Secured By BlueCo

The Dutch under-21 international has agreed a seven-year contract with Chelsea, though he will remain at Strasbourg for the current campaign to gain valuable Conference League experience.

Emegha has netted 26 goals in 64 appearances for the French side since arriving in 2023, and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young strikers in Europe.

Chelsea, who own Strasbourg through BlueCo, have been using the French club as a development hub for emerging talent.

Players such as Andrey Santos, Angelo and Caleb Wiley have already passed through on loan, reports Express.

This latest deal makes Emegha the fifth forward signed by Enzo Maresca since his appointment, following the arrivals of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Marc Guiu and Joao Felix.

The agreement comes as Chelsea continue to face FA charges for alleged financial breaches between 2009 and 2022.

Despite 74 reported violations, the Blues remain confident of avoiding sporting sanctions, including points deductions or transfer bans.
