Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a shock move for Barcelona forward, Ansu Fati ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite attempting to earn more playing time in the second half of the season and turning down a January loan move, Fati has hardly played under Hansi Flick.
The 22-year-old’s frustration has now reached a breaking point, and he is now prepared to leave the team.
In an effort to relaunch his career, there is a good likelihood that he will sign a loan deal with AS Monaco this summer, according to reports from the Catalan capital in recent days.

However, according to Football Espana, Chelsea have become an unexpected suitor to sign him. On Monday, agent Jorge Mendes will return to Barcelona, and according to Cadena Cope, he will meet with the team to talk about Fati’s future and the extension of Lamine Yamal’s contract.
Even if Monaco are still a viable option, Sport reports that Chelsea are also interested in him.
Chelsea would be ready to take a chance on Fati if Barcelona are willing to accept a small transfer fee or negotiate a deal with him and see if he can revive his potential.
This is because they believe Fati won’t return to his best at Blaugrana, the Catalan giants would prefer to have him permanently removed from their books.
His camp is also amenable to the idea of terminating the contract, though it would be difficult to negotiate a payoff.
