Chelsea have confirmed they have identified and dealt with a dressing room leak after sensitive team news emerged during their Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Line-ups for both legs of the last-16 clash were leaked to French media before kick-off, raising concerns within Chelsea.
The Blues went on to suffer a heavy aggregate defeat, intensifying scrutiny around internal operations at the club.
Head coach Liam Rosenior has now confirmed the source of the leak has been identified, although he clarified it did not originate from within the squad.
Instead, the issue has been described as “external,” easing fears of unrest inside the dressing room, reports Football London.
Rosenior also stressed that there was no malicious intent behind the incident and that the situation has now been resolved.
The manager declined to reveal further details but insisted the club has taken appropriate action to prevent a repeat.
Chelsea move on after PSG humiliation and injury setbacks
The controversy comes during a difficult period for Chelsea, who were beaten 8-2 on aggregate by PSG and have now suffered three consecutive defeats in all competitions.
