The Blues are clear favourites to capture the trophy, but Enzo Maresca’s team have been in bad form since the turn of the year and will face a difficult test against their Swedish opponents on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the West London team may be open to letting one of their best players depart this summer.
The Blues may be amenable to allowing Romeo Lavia to leave Stamford Bridge, according to Chelsea News.
According to the report, the club’s management is thinking about allowing Lavia to leave, either permanently or on loan, provided a good offer is made.
Lavia, 21, joined Chelsea from Southampton in 2023, but he only made one appearance in his first season due to injuries.
The Belgian has only played 14 games this season due to fitness concerns, but when he is healthy, he has performed well for Maresca’s team.
The club has reportedly talked about allowing the Belgium international to leave Stamford Bridge during the next transfer window, reports Shoot.
Chelsea would reportedly demand £45 million for the midfield player, but they would also take into account an initial loan agreement that contained an option to buy.
