Mateus Mane is drawing interest from several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, after breaking onto the scene for Wolves.
That is according to former Manchester United and Blackburn senior scout Mick Brown, who is still very well-connected in the league and exclusively told Football Insider that the 18-year-old’s performances have put rival teams on edge.
Mane impressed his pursuers by starring in Wolves’ 3-0 victory over West Ham in his third Premier League appearance.
Normally a forward, the England Under-18s star has played as an aggressive midfielder and winger under Rob Edwards and has taken the move up with ease.

As a result, “almost every club” in the Premier League has taken note of his performances and could be ready to strike a deal with Wolves, who are set to be relegated.
Chelsea among clubs after Mateus Mane
Brown told Football Insider on December 25 that Wolves are bracing for offers for key players as the club approaches relegation.
The former scout, who has over a decade of expertise in top-level player recruitment after working for Manchester United during their most successful period, said that Chelsea is one of the clubs that has taken note of Mane’s achievements.
“Mateus Mane playing the way he has for Wolves will undoubtedly attract interest,” he told Football Insider.
“Whenever an 18-year-old breaks onto the scene and puts in some excellent performances in the Premier League, the bigger clubs will take notice.
“You can guarantee that clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City will be looking at him.
“Almost every Premier League club will be looking at Wolves right now, calculating which players might be available if they go down.
“The Wolves must then decide if they will be able to keep their great players in the expectation of rising again. Or will they need to sell?
“It’s a decision they will have to make at the end of the season, but Mane looks a real prospect at his age, and I have no doubt these clubs will be aware.”
