Former Liverpool favourite is reportedly ready to rip up his contract with his present club after being sent to the reserves for an entire season.
Divock Origi was a hero when he left Liverpool in 2022, but the management of AC Milan has not been impressed.
After being expelled from the first team squad, the 30-year-old striker apparently declined to play for Milan Futuro, the team’s junior team, and hasn’t played for the Italian powerhouses since 2023.
After scoring two goals in his debut season at the San Siro and one while on loan at Nottingham Forest in 2023–24, Origi found out in July of last year that he was no longer close to making the Italian first team.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport as reported by the Daily Mail, Origi and Milan will very soon end his contract with one year remaining, and the Belgian will receive severance money equal to half of his annual pay.
In an indication of how much things have worsened, the Italian publication says he hasn’t even been showing up to play for Milan Futuro, the youth squad.
Instead, Origi has been training alone with a fitness instructor outside of the team’s Milanello training facility.
His brace against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals, the game-winning goal against Tottenham, and his ability to score against Everton made him a beloved cult hero at Liverpool.
And when he signed a free move to Milan in 2022, there were great expectations.
