Carragher Slams Sancho As ‘Worst Signing’ In Man United History

Jadon Sancho has faced fierce criticism after Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher labelled him one of Manchester United’s most disappointing transfers.

The 25-year-old winger, who joined United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million, has failed to live up to expectations.

Sancho has now moved on loan to Aston Villa, with the Midlands side covering 80 per cent of his wages.

His exit follows a failed stint at Chelsea, and the player has not featured for United since a brief appearance in last season’s Community Shield.

On The Overlap, YouTuber Adam McKola branded Sancho as United’s “worst ever signing”, sparking debate among pundits.

Carragher Questions Sancho’s Ability

Carragher went a step further by questioning whether Sancho ever possessed elite qualities.

“It’s funny with Sancho because he got a reputation at Dortmund,” Carragher explained.

“I’ve been critical of Marcus Rashford but I can picture his pace and shooting when he plays well. I don’t know what Sancho’s thing is. Every player has something, but I can’t see it with him.”

Sancho had been linked with moves to Roma, Besiktas and Juventus before Villa swooped on deadline day, reports Express.

United legend Paul Scholes suggested Unai Emery might revive the winger’s career, but admitted he remains doubtful.

The former Dortmund star will now look to rediscover his form at Villa Park in what could be a make-or-break loan spell.
