Jamie Carragher reportedly claimed that Aston Villa midfielder, Morgan Rogers could lead Unai Emery’s team to the Premier League title over Arsenal and Manchester City.
Villa are presently three points adrift in third place, while Arsenal lead second-place Manchester City by two points in the Premier League title battle.
Mikel Arteta’s team have suffered several backline injuries in recent weeks, and the Gunners have been far from their best. As a result, the title battle has completely blown wide open.
As the season goes on, the Villans are becoming more and more impressive. Over the weekend, Unai Emery’s team defeated West Ham 3-2 thanks to a Rogers brace.

What Carragher Said About Rogers
Former Liverpool defender, Carragher believes Rogers is a “special” England international who may win the Premier League, even though he still has questions about Aston Villa’s ability to do so.
Carragher said on Sky Sports as quoted by Football 365: “The upturn in form since what we saw in the first few weeks of the season, it’s been a complete contrast.
“We go back to the manager a lot, and rightly so. I think there is only Pep Guardiola in the Premier league right now who is a better manager than Unai Emery when you look at his CV and what he has done over his managerial career.
“There are some top managers in the league but Emery has a great CV and he’s done a brilliant job at Villa as well.
“But Morgan Rogers is something special.”
Carragher added: “He’s been one of those players that has sort of come from nowhere.
“That could be key if Aston Villa do feel that they could go on and contest the league title or go on and win it.”
