Carragher: Amorim Will Be Sacked Before Christmas

Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim’s time at Old Trafford is nearing its end despite a recent win.

The Portuguese manager eased pressure slightly after United’s 2-0 victory over Sunderland, but doubts about his future remain strong.

United sit 10th in the Premier League table, having won just three of their seven matches so far this season.

Carragher, speaking on Sky Sports, said Amorim’s spell at United has been a “disaster” for both the club and the coach.

He claimed the board is delaying action because sacking Amorim now would be seen as admitting a mistake, reports Daily Mail.

Carragher doubled down on his prediction that Amorim will be dismissed before Christmas, calling the situation “inevitable.”

He highlighted Amorim’s poor record, noting that his team has scored just two more goals than conceded in 50 matches.

Scholes Agrees Amorim’s Time Is Running Out

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes echoed Carragher’s view, saying the manager has already been given “too much time.”

Scholes argued that United’s fans have been patient, but results have failed to justify continued support for Amorim.

He warned the Red Devils face another setback when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool after the international break.

Scholes said United must focus on avoiding defeat rather than chasing an unlikely win against the reigning champions.

Amorim has managed only 10 league wins in 34 games, with most coming against promoted or struggling sides.

His future now depends on United’s next few performances.
