Better Signing Than Garnacho: Chelsea Battling For “World-Class” £26m Titan

With just over a week until the Premier League starts, the vibe around Chelsea couldn’t be any better.

Fans are still celebrating the Club World Cup victory, while the board continues to make moves in the transfer market.

Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, and Jorrel Hato have already passed through the door with less than a month till the window closes.

Furthermore, the Blues appear to be closing close on Alejandro Garnacho, and if stories are to be believed, they’re also looking for another international who’d be an even better fit.

Chelsea has been associated with Garnacho for some time, with claims of their interest dating back to the winter window, before he had his public spat with Ruben Amorim.

However, the ties have only grown stronger this summer, and it was claimed yesterday afternoon that they had finally begun conversations with Manchester United about a possible transfer, with the player now requesting a move to Stamford Bridge or nothing.

However, the West Londoners aren’t stopping there; they’re reportedly interested in another international, though this player would be far more important to sign this summer.

According to a recent Spanish source, Chelsea is one of the teams interested in Gianluigi Donnarumma, an Italian shot-stopper.

According to the source, Manchester City and Manchester United are also interested in signing the Paris Saint-Germain star, who is refusing to sign a new contract due to a salary structure issue, with only a year remaining on his present one.

Why would Donnarumma be a better signing than Garnacho?

It’s crucial to note that, while Garnacho isn’t the most popular player, he’s clearly skilled and would be an excellent addition to the Chelsea squad.

After all, despite being only 21 years old and playing for a historically bad United team, he managed to score 11 goals and assist ten times in 58 games last season.

While he would be a valuable addition to the West Londoners’ squad, he appears to be a luxury item, given players like as Gittens, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, Joao Pedro, and others are already on the roster, and the team hasn’t exactly been crying out for another attacker.
