Bayern Munich is looking for yet another outstanding star.
And no, this isn’t MLS superstar Lionel Messi, probably the best football player of all time.
This is Rayane Messi, an 18-year-old French winger who has been on the club’s radar for some time. According to Bild’s Christian Falk (@cfbayern) and Heiko Niedderer (@itstheicebird), and photographed by @iMiaSanMia_GER.
Bayern is interested in Rayane Messi (18). The winger is presently on loan from RC Strasbourg to NEOM SC. Bayern had already been watching the French U19 international since 2024, so he is well known at the club.
The player, who was rated by The Guardian as one of the world’s top players born in 2007, is mostly a left winger and might be a low-risk, high-reward choice for FC Bayern. With a current Transfermarkt estimate of €1 million, it is possible that his stock will only improve with additional outings. Given that the first team could use some wing alternatives in the rotation, this may be a guy that Bayern tests out in the Bayern II side before promoting him up the ranks (if found worthy of a rotation slot).
With players like Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike preparing to make appearances, Messi is unlikely to fit in. But who knows.
