Bayern Munich gave up three goals for the third time this season. This was also the second three-goal setback on the road during this Champions League season. In today’s loss, Feyenoord scored all of their goals on well-timed counterattacks that caught Bayern high line off guard.
In the 21st minute, Kim Min-jae misread Gijs Smal’s soaring ball to Santiago Giménez. Kim’s poorly timed leap knocked him out of the game, and Giménez buried his one-on-one against Manuel Neuer.

Technically, there were opportunities for other players to halt the play. Michael Olise could have closed off Smal’s pass a little quicker. Alphonso Davies may have gotten a better perspective on Giménez’s run. However, Kim’s error proved to be the decisive factor.
Despite having a niggling ailment, Kim was substituted in the 62nd minute instead of Dayot Upamecano. It’ll be intriguing to see if Eric Dier returns to the starting lineup for the Freiburg match this weekend.
