Bayern Make Contact To Sign 18-Goal Liverpool Star

Bayern Munich have reportedly initiated contact to sign Liverpool forward, Cody Gakpo ahead of the summer transfer window.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports claims that Bayern have contacted Gakpo’s representatives in an attempt to sign him ahead of the 2025-26 season.

According to reports, club director Max Eberl likes the Dutchman and has added him to a list of left-wing options that already includes Karou Mitoma of Brighton and AC Milan star, Rafael Leao.

Furthermore, Liverpool and FSG are looking to sell Gakpo if the proper deal comes in, especially because they will be welcoming Florian Wirtz this summer.

The key question is whether Slot would permit such a move. Under his countryman, Gakpo evolved as a player, scoring 18 goals in all competitions and earning a place in Liverpool’s starting lineup.

Slot hasn’t hesitated to praise the former PSV man, either.

He told reporters when asked about his winger earlier in the season:”In the second half of last season Cody scored a lot of goals so he’s been a good player for Liverpool for a long time now.

“He continues doing that and that’s a good thing. For me, he is a regular starter.”

Gakpo was also called “excellent” by former Chelsea and Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole back in October, and Liverpool shouldn’t be willing to lose him in the upcoming months.
