The wait to find out where Barcelona will play their first La Liga home game of the 2025/26 season is almost over.
According to SPORT, the club will make an official announcement on Monday, perhaps today or Tuesday, September 9.
The game in question is the highly anticipated battle against Valencia, which is slated for Sunday, September 14.
The situation remains problematic because the Spotify Camp Nou has not to receive the Final Construction Certificate from Barcelona City Council, which is required for the First Occupancy License.
Everything points towards Estadi Johan Cruyff.
Without this approval, it would be practically difficult to hold the game in the stadium, so the Estadi Johan Cruyff is now the most likely location.

La Liga has previously approved the use of the Johan Cruyff Stadium, subject to certain conditions.
The necessary changes are simple: install the correct VAR cameras, link via fiber optics to avoid technological difficulties, and confirm the watering system.
Camp Nou comeback remains doubtful.
Even with only 27,000 seats remaining, the prospects of playing versus Valencia at the Spotify Camp Nou are currently described as nothing short of miraculous.
The club is already drafting several logistical arrangements based on which stadium is chosen, with significant variances in security, VIP sections, press facilities, and member access.
One of the most serious concerns is ticket allocation. If the game is played in the Johan Cruyff Stadium, only 6,000 seats will be available, and fans are eagerly awaiting word on how they will be allocated.
What is uncertain is when Camp Nou will be fully operational again, and in what capacity.
If the delays continue, Barcelona may have to return to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys for the third straight season.
