Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi have officially been nominated for the 2025 Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best under-21 player in world football annually.

Yamal, who previously won the award, remains ineligible to win it again but still features as one of the top-rated youngsters on the list.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old centre-back Pau Cubarsi is considered one of the frontrunners for the Kopa Trophy 2025, following an incredible breakout season with Barcelona.
Cubarsi’s calmness, ball control, and tactical intelligence have earned him widespread praise and elevated him into Barça’s starting lineup regularly.
According to Sempre Barca, His main competition comes from PSG’s rising star Desire Doue, who is also viewed as a strong contender to win this year’s trophy.
