Pau Cubarsi has reportedly revealed that Barcelona are changing four crucial defensive components for their El Clasico matchup with Real Madrid in order to quell the threat of Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old prodigy is preparing for a challenging test against the French forward and Vinicius Junior as the two injury-plagued teams square off in Sunday’s main event.
Barca’s defensive line will have its most difficult test of the season as the Clasico countdown draws near.
The Blaugrana will make the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu following an erratic run that saw them lose to Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla 4-1, revealing Hansi Flick’s high defensive line and lack of quickness when pressured by elite opponents.

Barca have had a difficult time preparing for the match because of the absence of important players like Joan Garcia, Gavi, Andreas Christensen, and Robert Lewandowski due to injury.
The Catalan giants’ feelings have been raised by victories against Girona and Olympiacos in the last week.
Cubarsi Reveals Barca Are Focusing Attention On Mbappe And Vinicius
According to Goal, defender Cubarsi says much more preparation has been done in the background to make sure they are prepared for the challenge, with a special focus on Mbappe and Vinicius.
“Everyone knows who Mbappe is. We have to keep an eye on him and all of Madrid’s world-class players,” Cubarsi told reporters.
“We’ve tweaked four things and it has to go well for us. We’ll have to stop him in the best way possible, but especially focus on ourselves.
“We have to continue with our philosophy. Last year went well. Now the teams have evolved, but if we tweak a few things, we can improve.”
Asked about Vinicius, he added: “He’s an agile and quick striker who moves into space. We have to be very alert at the back to stop him.”
