Barcelona have confirmed that they will face Cesc Fabregas’ Como side in the Joan Gamper Trophy next month.
Como had been tipped as the opponents for the traditional curtain-raiser, and the match has now been confirmed. Reported On X.
On August 10, the two sides will clash at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The game was scheduled to take place at Camp Nou, but it had to be moved because the stadium was not yet finished.

The Gamper match will be the first time the two sides have met, but there will be many familiar faces in Barcelona. Fabregas will return to his former club, bringing with him former Barcelona players Sergi Roberto and Alex Valle.
Barcelona will play the match following their pre-season tour of Asia, where they will face Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul, and Daegu FC.
Hansi Flick’s side will then face Como in a last match before the start of the new La Liga season.
The Joan Gamper Trophy match will be a historic one as it will see the two sides meet for the very first time in Barça’s 125-year history and Como’s 118-year history.
