Marcus Rashford may have to accept another wage reduction if he wants to stay at Barcelona beyond this season.
The Manchester United forward joined Barça on loan last summer in a deal that includes a £28 million option to buy.
According to reports in Spain, the Catalan giants plan to activate that clause only if Rashford agrees to lower his salary.

The 27-year-old already took a pay cut to make his loan move happen but could now face a second reduction.
Rashford’s Impressive Form Winning Fans
Since arriving at Camp Nou, Rashford has been in sensational form under Hansi Flick’s management.
He has scored six goals and provided seven assists in 14 appearances, quickly becoming a fan favourite in Barcelona.
Supporters gave him a standing ovation after his stunning strike against Elche in their 3-1 weekend victory.
Rashford has also formed a strong attacking partnership with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and midfielder Fermín López.
European football expert Andy Brassell said both club and player are happy with the arrangement so far.
He added that Rashford’s focus away from the intense English media spotlight has helped him rediscover top form, reports Manchester Evening News.
However, Barcelona’s ongoing financial constraints mean they cannot match the wages he earns at Manchester United.
The Spanish side are instead prepared to offer a long-term contract on his current reduced salary to make the deal permanent.
If Rashford accepts those terms, a full-time switch to Barcelona next summer looks highly likely.
