Hector Fort is a name that keeps popping up as Barcelona look to make some crucial decisions this summer.
According to recent sources, in order to better manage their financial condition, the club may think about allowing the young defender to move on a permanent transfer.
Fort, however, has no plans to leave the team—at least not anytime soon, according to MARCA as reported by Barca Universal.
Even though he was one of four players left out of the most recent friendly against Vissel Kobe, the 18-year-old full-back is keen to stick around and compete for a spot.

Fort’s departure would not significantly affect Barcelona’s budget, even though they are under pressure to reduce the size of the squad and make room in the wage bill.
However, it has been claimed that the club’s sporting director, Deco has included his name on the list of possible departures.
It should be mentioned that Fort committed to Barcelona until 2026 when he signed a contract extension a little more than a year ago. Even if his position in the squad is uncertain, he is still committed to earning it.
He is aware of how difficult the competition is under Hansi Flick, but he is not giving up. In the summer of 2024, Fort made it apparent that he still wanted to wear the Barcelona shirt, and he hasn’t changed his mind.
It’s also important to remember that Fort already rejected the notion of quitting the club last summer, demonstrating his dedication to it.
