Barcelona goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny is reportedly set to sign two years contract keeping him at the club until 2027.
As the summer approaches, there has been a great deal of speculation about FC Barcelona’s goalkeeping squad.
After all, the Blaugrana still have Marc-Andre ter Stegen on their books and are expected to activate Joan Garcia’s €25 million release clause to sign him from RCD Espanyol.
Szczesny’s contract ends on June 30. Despite the fact that the club have made him an offer, the Pole has not yet accepted the new contract.

The circumstances have raised some questions about the goalkeeping unit’s outlook for the upcoming campaign.
Now, according to Barca Universal, the 35-year-old veteran will soon sign a new deal with Barcelona, according to Poland-based journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk, who has provided an update on Szczesny’s renewal situation.
The former Arsenal and Juventus player’s contract will be extended for a further two years, until 2027. The deal’s final elements have been worked out by the lawyers, and it should soon be signed and sealed.
The journalist goes on to say that Barcelona had made it plain they wanted to keep Szczesny at the club, therefore the signing of Gracia would never have an effect on his position.
According to various rumors in Spain, Ter Stegen would be left out of the starting lineup for the Catalans next season as the new acquisition takes the starting position, making the Pole their second-choice goalkeeper.
Therefore, even if he has so far maintained his stance that he will not be leaving Barcelona, the club’s captain has a significant decision to make this summer regarding his future.
